MaRRC2 Community Interest Company
MaRRC2 Community Interest Company is a Social Enterprise Company that is positively contributing to the social care, health and education agenda by focussing on “making resources and results count” for children, families, disadvantaged adults and communities.
Our approach is to work together with key stakeholders to deliver a service that is good value and provides innovative solutions to meet the needs of local communities and service beneficiaries.
Working closely with providers, commissioners and beneficiaries of services to help make efficient and effective use of precious resources, manage performance, measure impact and achieve the best outcomes.
Our aim is to provide good value services at MaRRC2. As a Community Interest Company and social enterprise we want to conduct our business in such a way as to be of benefit to service users, service providers and commissioners. One of our goals will be to share and develop practice amongst providers to achieve best value and good outcomes for service users. Our first step in giving back to our ‘community of interest’ will be to develop and co-ordinate an Early Intervention newsletter. If you wish to be added to the circulation list please go to the Newsletter page and send us your details.
What is a Community Interest company?
The Community Interest Regulator defines Community Interest Companies as follows:
'Community Interest Companies (CICS) are limited companies, with special additional features, created for the use of people who want to conduct a business or other activity for community benefit, and not purely for private advantage. This is achieved by a "community interest test" and "asset lock", which ensure that the CIC is established for community purposes and the assets and profits are dedicated to these purposes. Registration of a company as a CIC has to be approved by the Regulator who also has a continuing monitoring and enforcement role.'
